The experimental aircraft “Solar Impulse”, HB-SIA piloted by Solar Impulse’s team chief Bertrand Piccard, photographed high up in the sky during one of the last test flights of the year over the airbase in Payerne, Switzerland. Solar-powered aircraft Solar Impulse, the zero fuel airplane, project aims to circumnavigate the world with the aircraft, with a 63.40 metre wingspan, powered only by solar energy.
